This week: Meet our special guest at Grace Hour, The Rev. Matt Seddon, who will be blowing our minds with liberation theology. Slow down this Saturday with the Lenten Mini-Retreat. Check-in over Coffee on Canterbury. Join us for The Gathering.
This week, school begins for TSU and San Jacinto College and restarts for UH. We enter this week together with the awareness that many of you are worn out by anxiety, by holding emotional space for others, and by the sheer hard work of helping friends and neighbors and perhaps your own family clean up Harvey’s mess. We also go into this week knowing that the Trump administration will be making an announcement about DACA on Tuesday, which will change the lives of participants in DACA and their families. We are here for you.
Many Houston-area college students and their families have been devastated by the flooding from Harvey. Here is information for UH, TSU, and San Jacinto College students about additional aid. If you can give to help students from local schools, here you will find info on giving opportunities.
