Houston Canterbury seeks to be present on the campuses of the University of Houston (Main), Texas Southern University, Houston Community College, and the University of Houston-Downtown, as well as San Jacinto College and in the communities where students live and work.

Logo_of_the_University_of_HoustonHouston Canterbury has its home base at The University of Houston (Main) at the AD Bruce Religion Center (3841 Cullen Blvd Suite 205, Houston, 77204).  Our space on the second floor of the AD Bruce building provides a comfortable space for students to study, hang out, or check in with each other.  Open office hours vary based on the time of year, but all members of Houston Canterbury at UH are given access to the space during AD Bruce building hours.  Contact Maria Bautista Vargas, mbautista@houstoncanterbury.org, for more information.

200Houston Canterbury maintains a physical presence on the Texas Southern University campus through its partnership with St. Luke the Evangelist Episcopal Church, located at 3530 Wheeler Ave just down the street from the Urban Academic Village and across from the freshman dorms.  During the school year, St. Luke is the home of The Gathering, a student-centered Christian worship community that comes together at two tables: around the altar for communion and around the dinner table for lively discussion and quality time together.  St. Luke also provides a space for meetings with the missioner, Maria Bautista Vargas, small group gatherings, and Sidewalk Hospitality (a weekly chance to grab free breakfast, check-in, meet new people, and be prayed for).

HCCHouston Canterbury is developing an increased physical presence at HCC (Main Campus) in partnership with Trinity Episcopal Church which is located just across the street at 1015 Holman Street. Campus Missioners, Rev. Charles and Maria will be on campus on Mondays and Fridays respectively, and sometimes other days of the week as well. We will be developing a strong group of HCC student leaders, and increasingly offering more events around HCC to come! Stay tuned to this website and to our Facebook and Instagram pages for more information. Contact cgraves@houstoncanterbury.org if you have any questions or ideas!

CAUCOO56_400x400In Fall 2019, Houston Canterbury is developing a new presence on the University of Houston-Downtown campus through open “office hours” and hangouts on and near campus.  The times for these vary, but a schedule can be found in our Canterbury this Week blog postings and on our Calendar page.

Missioners are also willing to meet with you at any of the three San Jacinto campuses.  All you have to do is email us at  mbautista@houstoncanterbury.org.
