10 am – 4 pm: Hangout in the Living Room Drop by to chat, caffeinate, do homework or nap. The Living Room (Room 205 AD Bruce Religion Center, University of Houston) is open.
Tuesday, February 12
9:00 – 11:00 am: Eat. Pray. Go. at St. Luke the Evangelist (Rosedale side near the TSU entrance) to chat or pray about new beginnings. Go away ready to take on the day.
7-8:30 pm: Grace Hour at Bohemeo’s (708 Telephone Rd Suite E) Christian Ethics 101 – How do we do good? Join us at Grace Hour this semester on Tuesday nights for free dinner and food for the soul.
Wednesday, February 13
11:30-1:00 pm: FREE Lunch at the AD Bruce Religion Center (UH)
Drop in for food and conversation. 6:30-8:00 pm: Interfaith Potluck at the Catholic Newman Center at UH. Join students from different backgrounds for conversation about our faiths and our lives.
Saturday, February 16. Absalom Jones Day Field Trip – Join up with the Canterbury group headed down to Galveston for the Absalom Jones celebration at St. Augustine of Hippo Episcopal and some time at the beach. The Rev. Absalom Jones was the first African American priest in the Episcopal Church. The celebration will include a Eucharist uniting the voices of Episcopalians from all over and a discussion session on the Church’s role in a racially divided nation. 6:30-8:30 pm: The Gathering at St. Luke the Evangelist
The Gathering is an evening service of Christian worship in the Episcopal tradition, followed by community time around the table with a delicious and hot meal. All are welcome: friends, family, community members, and students. Ryan Hawthrone is guest preaching.
