LibTheology.pptx (1)From 6:30-7 pm, we will have some time to hang out with Matt, and then we will get going at 7 pm, delving deep into Liberation Theology.  Before he was ordained, Matt was an archaeologist for 20 years in Bolivia, Peru, and the American West.  During his time in Latin America, he became interested in the grassroots waves and movements of liberation theologies, which changed the way he thought about salvation.  Join us as we explore how liberation theology might change us and our communities today.

The Gifts of Imperfection: Practices for Imperfect People
Wednesday evenings in February, 6-7 pm at the UH Student Center
This is a collaborative effort with UH Wellness and Houston Canterbury. Using Brene Brown’s little book, The Gifts of Imperfection, as our jumping off point, this group will explore practices that can be incorporated into everyday living that help us to deal with those times when things fall apart.

Encountering Jesus in the Gospel of John
Join us downtown at Christ Church Cathedral for our Lenten Mini-Retreat.  We will start out with some time to check in with each other and slow down as we eat a leisurely lunch at THE CONSERVATORY (  Then we will head over to the Cathedral (1117 Texas Ave, 77002) for an afternoon of exploring life and John’s gospel together.  There is no cost for this retreat, but we would like to know if you are coming.  RSVP to
