The Skeptics Supper Club is a monthly small group that comes together over dinner to discuss those questions that you might be afraid are too irreverent, too basic, or too out-of-bounds.
Given the season of the year, our discussion on January 11 will focus on the Blessed Virgin Mary. What does scripture actually say about who Mary is? How do we deal with the traditions that have grown up around the person of Mary that are not based in scripture? What is at stake in believing or not believing particular things about Mary?
Friends from various religious traditions and backgrounds are invited to join us for this discussion. If you need a ride from the UH/TSU area, contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Dinner is on Canterbury.
